Eyes on Your Art:
Participating in Maryland’s
Artist Open Studios Tour
September 22, 2026
1–2PM
(Webinar will be recorded)
What if art lovers from across Maryland could discover your work and experience it right where artists create, in your studio or a shared creative space?
Since 2024, Maryland Artist Collective's Artist Open Studios Tour has brought Maryland artists and art lovers together for two days of studio visits, art discovery, and personal connection. Every year we have grown exponentially. More artists, more locations, and more sponsors that generate buzz around the state. This year, we’re building an even stronger Tour, and we want to show you how to be part of it.
In this free informational webinar, you’ll learn how participating in the Tour can help you expand your audience, build relationships with prospective collectors, and sell your work commission-free in your own space.
You’ll leave with a clear picture of how the Artist Open Studios Tour works, what AOS provides, and what you need to do to participate.
Come see how opening your studio for two days can put Maryland eyes on your art year-round.

Are You Ready for Eyes on Your Art? Preparing for Studio Tours
October 27, 2026
1–2PM
(Webinar will be recorded)
Thoughtful preparation builds confidence and makes the experience more productive and rewarding, no matter where you are in your Tour journey: participating now, considering joining, or just looking to welcome more people into your studio.
A successful open studio takes more than putting your artwork on the walls and opening the door. Thoughtful preparation can help visitors feel welcome, make your art easier to experience and buy, and free you to focus on conversations, connections, and opportunities that may continue long after the event. Your studio doesn’t have to be perfect. It needs to be welcoming, ready, and unmistakably yours.
This free informational webinar is the second in a series of three designed to help you prepare for the 3rd Annual Artist Open Studios Tour taking place in April 2027. While we’ll focus on AOS resources and Tour-specific preparation, much of the practical guidance applies to any artist planning to welcome visitors into a studio, shared creative space, or other venue where they show and sell their work.
You’ll also learn how to look at your studio through a visitor’s eyes, test the experience before you open your doors, and avoid some of the common last-minute problems that can distract you from connecting with the people who came to see your art.

Getting Eyes on Your Art:
Making the Most of Your Studio Tour
December 1, 2026
1–2PM
(Webinar will be recorded)
You’ve prepared your artwork, your space, and yourself. Now the doors are open. What you do while visitors are in your studio, and after they leave, can have as much impact as everything you did to prepare.
A successful studio tour is about more than making sales or counting how many people walk through the door. It is an opportunity to introduce people to your work, have meaningful conversations, identify prospective collectors, grow your audience, and begin relationships that may lead to future visits, referrals, commissions, and sales.
This free informational webinar is the third in our series of three designed to help you prepare for the Annual Artist Open Studios Tour taking place in April 2027. While we’ll focus on the AOS Tour, the strategies are useful whenever you welcome people into your studio, exhibition space, or another venue where you show and sell your work.
You’ll leave with practical ways to make visitors feel welcome while they’re in your space, stay connected with the people who want to hear from you, and evaluate success based on more than what you sold that weekend.
