THE COLLECTIVE
The Collective is where Maryland visual artists come together to grow—on their own terms, at their own pace, without algorithms, ads, or noise. This is your private, peer-powered space to sharpen your skills, expand your audience, and build the kind of community that actually shows up for you.
Inside you’ll find honest conversations about income, grants, platforms, and creative practice—plus tools, spotlights, and resources curated by artists who use them.
This is where the work happens.
Artist OPEN STUDIOS (AOS)
Every April, visual artists across Maryland open their studio doors to collectors, art lovers, and curious visitors. It’s more than a tour—it’s an invitation into the creative process. When the public steps inside an artist’s workspace, something shifts. The work becomes personal. The connection becomes real.
By doing this together, The Collective members multiply their marketing reach and amplify their visibility in ways no single artist could pull off alone.

We’re building something new for MDAC members, and we can’t wait to share it. An annual Members Exhibit is in the works—a dedicated showcase for the work Maryland’s visual artists have been pouring their hearts into.
